THE ORIGIN

More than just a sport.

Earlier in my career, I was an Olympian and world record holder. Running has always been more than sport to me — it is freedom, rhythm, and connection with the world around us.

Running for Misfits is a place where I share the stories, lessons, and moments that running has given me. It is a home for those who find solace in the long road.

Legacy of Endurance

1984

At 17 years old, Zola Budd broke the 5000m world record with a time of 15:01.83.

1985

She broke the record again with 14:48.07, becoming the first woman to run under 15 minutes for the 5k.
